Da Chicago Bears Football Theme Bar Mitzvah Party Buffalo Grove

This past weekend we had the privilege of setting up the centerpiece and balloon decorations for Daniel’s Bar Mitzvah party in Buffalo Grove, IL. The theme was da Chicago Bears’ football! The party participants were greeted at the place card table with this “name” centerpiece.
Two different sized Chicago Bears football themed centerpieces decorated the tables, along with matching balloons. There were one level centerpieces with a picture of one of Daniel’s favorite players.
As well as two-level centerpieces, again with pictures and names of favorite players. The two level centerpieces also have a Chicago Bears’ bag as a base.
During the celebration party this Chicago Bears football theme candle lighting was a hit!
We will have a video up on YouTube within a few days with room shots and other centerpieces from Daniel’s party. Look for it soon!

How Do I Anchor a Flexible Plastic Tube for my Tall Wedding Balloon Centerpiece?

We are regularly asked how to secure the flexible plastic tubes to a base to make a tall air filled balloon centerpiece. We have several suggestions, which incl
ude:
One technique, as shown to the left, is to glue to a 3/8″ piece of plywood. We cut a circular pattern, just a little bit larger than the circumference of the flexible plastic tube, about 1/2″ into the wood and glue the tube in the hole. Here you might consider added some weight to the base or inside the tube to keep it balanced and free from wobbling. This mainly depends on the length of the tube and what you put on the top.
Another example is inserting and gluing into a 1-1/2″ styrofoam base (below) or styrofoam brick. With this technique you need to have some weight on the base or inside the tube itself with a smaller base. However, you probably do not need weight with an 11″ or 12″ round or square base.

Tall Yellow (as in Sunshine) Wedding Centerpieces

We found this and other pictures under an article titled “Yellow Flowers are Sunshine on Your Wedding Day” written by Holly.
Holly writes: “…When the flower shipment arrived it was like opening boxes of sunshine. I have always felt completely different about the color yellow since that day. In fact I love, love, love yellow. What bride doesn’t want sunshine on her wedding day. The color yellow is the perfect flower to use on such a happy day.” And we agree.

It’s up on YouTube. Our how to make a do it yourself tall sports jersey or t-shirt centerpiece. These centerpieces are fun to make. They can spotlight your favorite sports teams’ tops. We picked a Chicago White Sox jersey for my sister-in-laws favorite team. Did it help them to make the playoffs? Her husband is an avid Cubs fan. Who will have this year’s bragging rights?

We Have a New Video on How to Make A Very Tall Economical Air Balloon Centerpiece for Weddings, Parties and Events

We have been very busy filming a new series of how to make and do it yourself videos. The ideas keep coming from my husband, Michael, my producer, videographer, editor, marketer, etc. Plus many of you have given us ideas or made suggestions that turned into wonderful centerpiece ideas.
We use our flexible plastic tubes to make a very tall air filled balloon centerpiece in our latest how to video. Each tube is 30″ high, with a central theme balloon on top. Colors and themes can be varied per event. I added tulle and artificial flowers for a little accent.
With the cost of helium skyrocketing as of late, air filled balloons are a very economical alternative for the budget minded bride or party giver. More and more people are looking to ways to save money and expense in this day and age. We have mostly always catered to a more conservative clientele.
Air filled balloons also allow pre-preparation since they last longer than helium filled balloons. Although high float adds flight time to helium balloons, it also adds to the expense in material and labor costs.

Tall Baseball Jersey Centerpiece
Using a sports jersey or T-shirt as a centerpiece has gained in popularity for do it yourself enthusiasts. Here is an example using a baseball jersey. However, any sports jersey can be used…basketball jersey, football jersey, soccer jersey, etc. These lend themselves to any sports themed party or celebration.
